JONATHAN HOLLAND, PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Jonathan (Jon) Holland is a seasoned 38-year Law Enforcement professional, who spent the first half of his career in general Policing, before transitioning to Border Security work in 2001. He has gained experience in Customs, Immigration, and Coast Guard disciplines, as well as in Overseas Training Missions, and has served in some 10 different countries, across several continents, during his extensive career. He has lectured as an International Expert in Border Security for several international organizations over the years. Most recently, he served as the Director of the OSCE’s Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, for the last 3 ½ years.
Program Director with BORDERPOL since September 1st, 2021, he brings new energy and passion to the organization. His focus is on collaborative working, in a bid to re-new past partnerships and discover new and exciting partnerships with other, likeminded organizations. As part of BORDERPOL he is keen to see a return to normal face-to-face networking amongst Border Security actors, following a long period of inactivity, because of the ongoing global pandemic and the ensuing restrictions on travel.
