APPOINTMENT OF JONATHAN HOLLAND, PROGRAM DIRECTOR
On behalf of the Executive Committee, the Executive Director of BORDERPOL is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Holland, Program Director. The position of Program Director is newly created post in keeping with the restructuring of the organizations operational management as the world enters a new post pandemic era.
Jonathan (Jon) Holland is a seasoned 38-year Law Enforcement professional, who spent the first half of his career in general Policing, before transitioning to Border Security work in 2001. He has gained experience in Customs, Immigration, and Coast Guard disciplines, as well as in Overseas Training Missions, and has served in some 10 different countries, across several continents, during his extensive career. He has lectured as an International Expert in Border Security for several international organizations over the years. Most recently, he served as the Director of the OSCE’s Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, for the last 3 ½ years.
Jon takes up the new role of Program Director with BORDERPOL effective September 1st, 2021, with the intention of bringing new energy and passion to the organization. His focus will be on collaborative working, in a bid to re-new past partnerships and discover new and exciting partnerships with other, likeminded organizations. He is keen to see a return to normal face-to-face networking amongst Border Security actors, following a long period of inactivity, because of the ongoing global pandemic and the ensuing restrictions on travel. Something which I am sure we are all keen to see, moving forward.
